THIS SEASONS (2005-2006) PREDICTIONS

Well were you brave enough to give the forecast game a go last season? No! not many considering the fantastic opportunity to take a nice new crispy £20.00 note off me, but once again this year I give the prize money to myself.

Looks like I won again.
Although it was a close run thing this time round as Mad dog nearly gave me a scare and I thought I was going to have to get my £20 out of my pocket, only a couple of last ditch results changed things around.
The Clywd result cost most of the entrants a points (including myself) and the surprise one was the Warwickshire v Cheshire (30-9) a result which not only mucked up most of the predictions but cost Cheshire their Premiership status.

But never mind Champion again, we wait until next season to see if anyone can take my money off me, personally I don't think you can. Now their's a challenge for you.

DO YOU THINK YOU CAN BEAT ME?

Remember you have to wait until there are 6 games played before putting in your predictions.
Mean while I keep hold of my Title and challenge you all out there once more to make 17 predictions.

Premier Champion's and the two team relegated
Division One Two teams promoted and two teams relegated
Divison Two Two teams promoted and two teams relegated
Division Three Two
teams promoted and two teams relegated
Division Four Two teams promoted

It's as easy as that.
The winner is the one with the most correct predictions WHO manages to beat me, if that happens a crisp £20.00 note will be heading your way.

Go On Give It A Go

Do you dare to give it a try? How good is your knowledge of the game, the players and the teams? Send me your fancies to the address below and see if you can take away the prize at the end of the season.

You think you can have a go at the Prediction game then wait for a few more games then give it a go, remember there is a small prize for anyone who manages to get a better prediction ratio than me.
I lost my title for two years running, once from Tony Mitchell and then to Joe Smith, both from Cleveland but I regained it in good style this time round despite a close call from Joe and our first lady competitor Claire Stainsby.

I wait with eargerness for your choices of who will go up and who will go down. Do you Dare.

Right here we are again and this is my predictions for the this season, not a great lot of surprises I feel as this season seem's quite cut and dry as to who will be holding all the promotion and relegation spots this year and it seem's pretty much the order of today will not be changing much.

Anyway here are my predictions for this season

The Premier Division well and truly belongs to Yorkshire once again and if anyone want's to go against them then woe betide them.
Relegation a bit of battle here between at least three teams but I feel going down are: Lincolnshire and Warwickshire.
Division One a bit tight this season but Promotion for Cornwall is just about assured and second place, taking the second promotion spot, Glamorgan.
Relegation, Norfolk are almost certainly down, to follow them a very tight battle between Bucks and Cumbria but I feel Cumbria will miss out on safety by a couple of points and will be playing Division Two darts next year.
Division Two and this Division is as usual as tight as ever with several teams doing battle for promotion and for relegation.
After much delberation Gwent will go up as Champions and Sussex will accompany them in second place.
Relegation well and truly belongs to Nottinghamshire and Worcestershire.
Division Three As they stand now I feel is where they will finish, Champions Oxfordshire runners up and taking the second promotion spot Derbyshire.
Relegation Wiltshire and Northamptonshire after a tough battle with Gwynedd.
Division Four again another simple one with Pembrokeshire and Leicestrshire running away at the top, can't see anyone stopping them.
Bottom place, unfortunately Isle Of Wight although can see this being much closer this year.

Here we go then with the predictions for 2005/06 and first in this year is the ever present Tony Mitchell (Cleveland)

Here are the Votes of Maddogs Jury!!

Premier Division
Perpetual Winners Yorkshire are going to be Champions again,
The Relegation Battle will be between 3 Teams, Warwickshire, lincolnshire and Cheshire. Lincolnshire will finish 10th and 9th Place Warwickshire's home advantage will prevail, to go down Cheshire. Champs
Division 1 I feel That Cornwall are gonna go on to take this Division but only just from Glamorgan.....
Cumbria will continue to fall away from safety and finish Bottom while Surrey finish 9th and drop to Division 2.
Division 2 Tough division to predict as it involves my home County..... Gwent are gonna be tough to stop in this Division and I can see them going on to Top the Division by about 10 points, Sussex will nick the 2nd Spot, Worcestershire will get Tailed off at the Bottom and Nottinghamshire will follow them Down.
Division 3 At the moment in this Division Derby lead with Oxford only 1 point back.... These two teams will be the promoted ones but in a different order with Oxfordshire taking the Title and Derbyshire Runners Up.
In the Relegation Battle Northamptonshire will get tailed off and finish 10th while Wiltshire despite winning the last match of the season will just fail to secure Division 3 status.
Division 4 Pembrokeshire will continue to take this Division by the scruff of the Neck and run away with it, the real battle with this Division is for 2nd, Between Clwyd,Avon and Leicestershire. Clwyd will take the Honours in 2nd by the narrowest of Margins.
Unfortunately the Isle of Wight will be the Bottom Team again.

There you go that's it for the Mad Dog Mitchell. Do you think you can do better, remember money up to £20.00 this year.

My predictions as the Champion will be in within the next couple of day's, but I think Mad Dog might be quite near the mark. We will wait and see.

Here are Joe Smiths predictions and I must apologise to Joe for the delay in putting his choices on the site but I am currently moving home and have been a little bit busy.

Anyway enough of me here we go>
Premier Division : Joe is sticking (as all of us are) with the powerful Yorkshire squad being his choice to retain their title.
Relegation he has opted for Lincolnshire and Warwickshire.
Division One : Promotion Cornwall and Hertfordshire (intersesting choice in this one)
Relegation Norfolk and Buckinghamshire.
Division Two : As usual one of the tightest divisions to select from and this season has been no different.
Going up Gwent and Sussex and relegated Nottinghamshire and Worcestershire.
Division Three : Promoted Derbyshire and West Midlands with relegation going to Wiltshire and Gwynedd
Last but not least Division Four with promotion going to Pembrokeshire and Clwyd.

Well that's Joe's predictions and I notice he is relying heavily onthe Welsh teams this time round to make his attempt to take my £20.00.

Best of luck to all who are taking part and we will see at the end of the season who retains or regains their titles of the Predictor. I'll be back
